Anywo, you may already be doing this, but my mom taught me how to make the sponges last longer and I just thought I’d share in case you didn’t already know about it.
Put it in the Dishwasher. My mom’s the wash-it-by-hand-and-then-wash-it-again-in-the-dishwasher type. I don’t get it, but she’s super clean and that’s always a good thing. Every time she runs the dishwasher, she puts the sponge in there to disinfect it. So apparently you can also do other things with the dishwasher besides just washing dishes, which is cool. You can also cook food in it, but that’s another story altogether.
Microwave it. Another surefire way to kill the germs from the nasty sponge? Nuke it!
